and Wakefield) and NHS Bradford District CCG (as primary contract holder) on behalf of - (Bradford City, Bradford
District and Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG's) intend to commission a range of information technology
services for the 7 CCG's and their GP practices in two separate contractual arrangements, with an expectation of a
single lead provider.
The service is anticipated to need a range of flexibility in terms of scope to meet the developing technological
maturity of the NHS and changing requirements of the General practice landscape over the life of the contact. It is
anticipated that the supplier will hold a contract for up to 7 and 8 years, and include General IT supporting
functions of a comprehensive range of services and support innovation and transformation to meet a defined set of
outcomes and performance measures.
The services to be provided will include (among others):
1. Services for Clinical commissioning Groups headquarter corporate functions
2. Services for General Practice clinical
And will need to include Service desk, desktop management, infrastructure, server, Network services and
management and cyber security services, NHS Registration card service provision and Email services and
NHSMail management, Data storage, a range of innovation and development services, software web
developments and project management, business change and clinical training services
The contract and winning bids will be partially determined through the process being undertaken. The value should
be treated as essentially near approximation.
