Specification.
The following are current user requirements of a future thermal target:
a. Active heat source. The target should emit an active heat source, ideally in line with the heat signature of the real life target it is representing.
b. Representative. Target should be an accurate representation of the real life subject (options for 3D and 2D). 3D should be similar in height, width, length and include any key identifying features.

b. Representative. Target should be an accurate representation of the real life subject (options for 3D and 2D). 3D should be similar in height, width, length and include any key identifying features.
c. Feedback. Target system should provide accurate feedback on a rounds location of strike.
d. Survivability. Target must survive being hit multiple times (exact number to be worked out) by up to 120mm rounds and 155mm fired with Proximity fuse setting.
e. 24/7. Target must be useable in all weather conditions, day and night.
f. Moving targets. Target should be able to move in all directions at various speeds. Ideally up to 30kmph.
g. Ease of control.
