NHS Digital on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is embarking on a project to establish a data architecture capability within NHS Digital, access to which will be made available to the wider NHS and social care system.This data architecture capability will be defined as a Centre for Enablement (C4E) which will provide insight to allow health and social care organisations to create a seamless exchange of medical and patient data across the health and care system.NHS Digital’s intention is to procure the required capability through 5 separate procurements, with a combined estimated total value of 5 000 000 GBP (subject to licence numbers and system take up) across a 3-year contract term, with an option to extend for up to a further two years.— procurement 1 — semantic ontology,— procurement 2 — data governance/collaboration,— procurement 3 — data management,— procurement 4 — data modelling,— procurement 5 — API abstraction.
