Rhondda Cynon Taf Bounty Borough Council is seeking to establish an approved list of suitably qualified and experienced companies to deliver domestic energy efficiency measures throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.The Council has an ambition to deliver domestic energy measures to all households in Rhondda Cynon Taf in order to mitigate fuel poverty, reduce energy and carbon use and develop and strengthen a local low-carbon supply chain. This includes the development and enhancement of existing schemes and funding; as well as identifying future opportunities, appropriate service and delivery of projects.Such funding streams are likely to include for, but not be limited to, the following schemes:External funded schemesECO 4 Flexible Eligibilityunder the new Energy Efficiency Improvement Scheme Via - Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Local Authority Flexible Eligibility (LA Flex). Further details on the scheme can be found: ECO guidance and associated documents | OfgemCouncil funded schemes including but not limited to:Solar Panel PV Grant – a grant of up to 25% towards the total cost of purchase andinstallation of solar panels, capped at a maximum of £1,000Heating Grant – a grant of up to £5,000 to repair or replace heating systems, subjectto grant eligibility.Minor Assistance Grant – a grant to provide funding for minor energy efficiency measures,including repair and/or draughtproofing measures, subject to grant eligibility.This process will operate as an 'Approved Providers List' (APL) that will quality assure providers. In order to obtain a position on the APL providers will need to complete and pass a questionnaire to evidence their technical ability.The process will run in 2 Stages:1st Stage will be open for a reduced period of time to capture as many responses as possible.Issue of Invitation to Participate Stage 1 11th October 2022Closing date for Stage 1 Submission 25th October 2022 12 noonEvaluation and Notification to Providers 31st October 2022APL Commencement 1st November 2022Invitation to Participate Stage 2 1st November 2022The 2nd Stage will remain open and available for the approved list duration (4 years) upto 31st March 2026, allowing new providers to express their interest and apply to join at any time.
