Mae’r blynyddoedd diwethaf wedi profi i fod yn anodd i’r gymuned busnes. Rhwng gadael yr Undeb Ewropeaidd, Pandemig Covid-19 a bellach yr argyfwng ynni, nwyddau a chostau byw, mae rhai busnesau bellach yn ymdrechu i adfer neu hyd yn oed i oroesi. Mewn arolwg diweddar, dywedodd 58% o fusnesau’r Sir eu bod wedi profi gostyngiad mewn trosiant ers 2020, gyda 35% wedi profi gostyngiad o 20% neu mwy. Between leaving the European Union, the COVID-19 pandemic, and now the energy and cost of living crisis, some businesses continue to struggle to recover their business or even survive. In a recent survey, 58% of the County’s businesses said that they have experienced a decline in turnover since 2020, with 35% experiencing a decline of 20% or more. As part of their ambitions for the future, the priority for 37% of Gwynedd’s business community was to survive or to have a succession or managed retirement strategy for the future. In an attempt to alleviate the situation for the above businesses, Gwynedd Council has succeeded in securing funding from the NDA/Magnox Socioeconomic scheme to undertake this project under the Gwynedd Economic Recovery programme. The aim of this commission is to assist local businesses to take the first step towards recovering their activities, either through restoring their former business, to extend or improve their present activities, or to diversify into other sectors.
