This requirement is for the provision of configuration management services for RN and RFA surface ships using the Surface Ships Definition Database (SSDD).
The Contractor shall operate the Master Record Data Centre (Ships) and be responsible for three major activities:
a) To carry out Configuration Accounting as an integral part of Configuration Management for Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary Surface Ships and a limited number of shore bases.
b) To compile, record and maintain the Ship Fit Definition for the individual ship platforms and classes of platform of the Surface Fleet as listed in Appendix 001.
c) To carry out all normal, day to day processes associated with operation of the SSDD Computer System, including the timely production and supply of outputs in electronic format, compatible with Microsoft Office suite of products.
